Amerlock Surface Tolerant Epoxies

Amerlock products are surface tolerant epoxies that can be applied to compromised surfaces such as tightly adhering rust, old coatings and damp surfaces.  Three products make up the Amerlock product line,  Amerlock Sealer, a 100% solids primer, Amerlock 400 a primer that comes in colors and can be used as a topcoat and Amerlock 2 a fast dry version of Amerlock 400.  Please see the Catalog page for downloadable product data and application sheets.  Please note you will need a drill motor mixer along with a drill motor to properly mix Amerlock surface tolerant epoxies.  We recommend you purchase a Jiffy Mixer or a Jiffler Mixer for this purpose.

We do not recommend that you thin Amerlock Sealer so for this product you do not need to purchase any thinner.

We recommend you consider purchasing Amercoat 65 thinner which is blended to improve the application of Amerlock 400 and Amerlock 2 in varying environmental conditions.  Most of our customers purchase Amercoat 65 so they can thin the Amerlock 400 or Amerlock 2 up to 10%.
